    Default Pws deer

Who is planning on going out this dec for deer? Just trying to get a feeling if there will be allot of people out then. I'm thinking either late nov or early dec.

I'm going on around Oct. 16 depending on the weather staying for a week.

I went around there last year and there was no snow on the mountains. Also it was warm Making deer hunting a little harder. We got one.

I went last year the last week of september and you are right, it was warm, and the hunting was difficult, and I also got only one, but I think it is colder this year compared to last and hopefully we will get a little snow earlier. Also this is the only time I will be able to go.

    Default Hope to go--

I am hoping to get out there towards the end of Nov., depending on how my mooching off friends works. Not ever done a PWS deer hunt, but keep saying I am going to try--hoping to make this year the first of many.

    Default Planning on it.....

I have Port Chalmers reserved over Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 8-10, hoping that snow will be on the ground by then. Been down there twice this year and there still plenty of snow up high. Didnt go to shore, cuz I hear theres some mean bears over there, plus I was too busy nailing the fish. Anyone else going then, wouldnt mind the company of another boat, for safety reasons.

Not sure about a Dec. Trip, I guess that would depend on how we do in Nov. Also curious how the West Ramp is going to be trying to launch then, since the East Ramp is under construction. Any idea if that ramp is even operable?
