Default what is you favorite recipe for 7mm-08

I pick up my Tikka T3 lite in 7mm-08 any day now and was wondering what is your favorite recipe and for what kind of conditions? anyone got a recipe for 400 yards on small mule deer, white tail? I noticed Hornady makes a 100 gr HP anyone have exp w/ that? Can you beat the performance of that Hornady 139gr light magnum? can't wait to take this new lady on a date.

    I like to shoot 47.5 g 760 145 speer grand slam w/ fed210 primer

    42g varget 145 speer BT fed 210 primer 3 shot group @ 500 yards 3 inches

    42.5 varget 145 grand slam fed210

    44g 760 160 speer magtip fed 210 primer

i like varget for the 7-08 for consistent groups for all sorts of bullets, but the best performers on game are the 145 grand slams.

Use caution w/ these loads they are max loads !!

    Default 7mm-08 Load

    Powder - Varget
Bullet - 140 Gr Nosler Accubond
    Primer - Fed 210M
    Brass - Winchester

Lights out combo for a recent Caribou hunt. Should work well on deer sized game. Not sure about a 400 yard combo though. My Remington Mountain LSS will do 3" groups at 300 yards, that's about my personal limit. Good Hunting.

Default My preferred 7mm-08 load for Ruger M77 MKII

My fav 7mm-08 load is: 47.5 grains of RL 19, CCI 200 primers, Nosler Accubond 160 gr bullets, COAL 2.900, Winchester brass, 2633 fps average of 10 shots. Shot a nice buck this year on Kodiak at 350 yards. This bullet has a SD of .283 and a BC of .531 which helps to maintain good deer killing energy out to 500 yards. Putting this data into www.BigGameInfo.com website illustrates the wonderful qualities of this bullet and load.

wooohoo thanks gotta love the www. just what I am looking for and the reason I bought the 7mm-08 inherint good BC w/ certian bullets. I totally get the part about heavy solid and slow. Might waste a litle meat but if I can reach out and touch w/ a light to carry and a light recoil I be real happy.

BTW my 10 day wait is over and I pick up my new lady tomorrow Tikka T3 lite 7mm-08 w/ zeiss conquest scope
