Default UPS or FedEx for shipping guns

to yourself for hunting in another state? I recall that one allows it and the other doesn't. Anyone know offhand which is the one to go with?

    Thanks,

If it's a long gun you can go postal for a lot less money.

I do it all the time. To me From me. I next day air it, it costs a little more, but there is no chance of it getting lost.

The Postal Circus is the best way to go if you're shipping long guns.

Default And Yet Another for USPS

That's US Postal Service, by the way. Just in the last month, UPS (Big Brown) has delivered two rifles to us that were busted. They were in perfect condition when they left the originator's location... Last year, I sent a beautiful little 722 Remington to a friend in Michigan, that I'd put, oh, right at 60 hours into. It was a one piece stock when it left my hands, three piece when they opened it in Michigan.
Oh, and by the way, IF you insure it, the only way they'll pay is if THEY box it, and just TRY and find a UPS Store that won't just go absolutely insane if you go through their doors with a firearm of ANY type!
Office of the Director of Civilian Marksmanship (ODCMP), the old DCM, ships rifles and ammunition via FedEx exclusively.

I have used UPS for many years with no problems whatsoever, I do though use very strong and sometimes heavy cases and it does cost more but it is worth it to me.
