    Default Outta here tomorrow! Woohoooo!!!!

Driving down tomorrow night after work and the plane leaves 10am Friday, anyone got any last minute "GOAT HUNTING ADVISE" they would like to part with?

I gave up my caribou hunting and moose hunting this year for this permit so it's been A LONG TIME WAITING, especially seeing the pics in the last few weeks. Well time to go freeze the cahoneies off on the mountain.

See you all in 9days or less.

P.S. Play nice while I'm gone!

Make sure it is a Billy. Killing Nannies is a two for one deal and that will bite all of us in the butt. When you find a Billy, make sure his horns are as long as his face. That is the best reference for judging a good goat. Good Luck.

Default no advice but a question.

I suppose the real question here is can you get on line with a sat phone and lap top to play poker? Good luck and take lots of photos.

Spoild one, I had no idea you cared?

Probably a good thing "NO", leaves more time to look for critters.

Off to bed, thanks to all for your help and I'll see you on Oct. 4th or sooner.

    Exclamation Advice...pack some Depends

Cuz you're gonna need them Mountains looked grueling and ugly today. It hasn't stopped spitting rain (or snow at high elevation) for a few days now. I drove down to the end of the spit to have a better look of the area you are targeting and it wasn't promising. Not much snow on the seaside, but lots in the back from what I could gather.

The good news is you're gonna give it a go and have a great time while you are out there!

And if that doesn't do it for ya...just think of all the money you'll save at the poker table when you're out there

    See ya tomorrow, drive carefully!

    Default shot placement

Shot placement can make the difference. Done it both ways, depending where they are at. If he is in an inaccessible spot but within range, give him a poke but not a drop in his tracks shot, if you can get to the lower elevation where he will end up. But if you don't want to lose him over the edge because of whats down below, make sure he don't even kick once. They have a knack for kickin over the edge.
Good luck and bring us some pics!

    Thumbs up Goat hunt update!!!

No word from Curt yet, but I thought that I should let you know that for all of the complaining and worrying he did about the snow he sure must have done 10 times that in praying for good weather

Man, it rained for months before he got here, rained and hailed the day he arrived, and it has been nothing but blue skies and sun since the morning he flew out! So nice I am thinking of heading over to find him and go after bear! They were going to try to find one of them fuzzy black ones if they were successful on goat.

I hope to hear from him soon, if there are goat over there, he sure had ideal weather for chasing after one

The weather was awesome, the pilot Jose' Decreft (sp) is the real deal and the hunt was a BRUTAL BUTTT BUSTING ONE! I am headed over to my buddies house in a bit to grab my gear and run the goat to fish and feathers for measuring and then I will write up a complete story with pic's.

Joshua (BucknRut) you are one hell of a true friend! Thanks so much for opening up your home to Rusty and I, it was greatly appreciated!

And I loved your home brew!
