Default back from an 8 day float

No moose but got this nice looking griz on the next to the last day. Squared 6' 3" estimated at 3-4 years. Great fur. He was on some old moose kill remains that someone was nice enough to leave handy. Saw very little moose sign. Lots of caribou, (closed by EM), and tons of wolf sign with lots of bear tracks also. Hopefully the moose were around and not in a wolf's stomach.

That's a really nice colored bear. Sorry to hear that you didn't get your moose.

    Congrats, thanks for sharing.

What did you shoot the bear with?

Dang that's a pretty bear....it's not all about the size of a bear, it's about the hair quality and that thing is awesome!

I upgraded this year from a 338 to a Browning 375. Using 300 grain bullets. I really like the rifle but its 1.5 lbs heavier than the 338. Shot was laser ranged at 291 yds. Had to take it from across the river, across some tundra and 3/4 of the way up the hill. He was leaving quickly. You know what they say, you can't outrun a police radio or a good bullet.
