Default Where to buy a log splitter engine

I live in the Mat-Su Valley. I am going to use my "Sarah bucks" and build a log splitter. Where in the Valley or Anchorage can I find engines. Looking for around an 8 hp.

You might try Mat-Valley milling on Outer Springer Loop, he has alot of engines lying around.

You may find that you can buy one cheaper than you can build one unless you have a pump, cylinder etc.

I have been collecting parts for a few years now.. I beam,a good cylinder, axel.. I'll go to Jackovich and get the hoses and northern tool for the extras.
All the splitters up here I've seen seem a little light duty, maybe I haven't looked in the right place?
Thanks for the help. I will go over and see what they have.
    Thanks For the help..

You may also see if Frank Holt has any left...... Glenn Highway north past Carrs about a mile on left. If I remember correctly, he has Uhaul now??? Not sure.

P.S. I will keep an eye out this week. Do you know what shaft size you need?
