I recently had a painful experience that I will not elaborate on, that makes me believe that we need to have a thread on uncharted obstructions in our local waterways that can ruin your whole day.
In Resurrection Bay, on the northwest corner of Hive Island is an uncovered, uncharted rock which is just about the sea level at zero low tide. The exact coordinates are N59 53.327 W149 22.976. It is an extension of a rocky ridge running out to the sea about 150 feet to the west/northwest. I never heard of this hazard to navigation until our painful experience.
Has anyone else been made aware of this obstruction/hazard?
