Thread: ATV in F-250 bed with shell

Default ATV in F-250 bed with shell

Iím considering a Leer canopy shell for my F-250. Do you know if itís possible to get an ATV (2005 Kodiak 400) in the bed with the topper on? Iíve got ramps and winch. Obviously I wouldnít be driving it all the way in, but I donít want to end up on Americaís Funniest Home Videos.
The Kodiak sits kind of low, and I would think that this should be doable. Itís really a one-time deal. Iíve got a trailer, but need to keep things streamlined in this case.

    thanks

If it is a "one time deal" you could probably make it work if you let the air out of your ATV tires. That would gain you a little more clearance. I still think it is just much easier to trailer your ATV. Fill the back of your truck with other stuff.

I had a 1994 Kodiak and a 95 dodge 3/4 ton with a topper. Had to let most of the air out and loosen the handlebars and push them down. Worked for one trip when I had more ATV's going then I had trailer room for but it was kind of a pain. Just used a 12 volt pump for the tires and took the necessary wrenches for the handlebars.
