Thread: Bird Creek

    Default Bird Creek

We are thinking about camping at Portage next weekend and fishing Bird Creek. Is there somewhere better, with fewer people, either in between Bird and Portage or should we head south. We are looking for some silvers. Thanks.

Ummm ... there's nothing in-between Bird and Portage. Unless you count Whittier, I guess.

What about 20 mile. I saw some people fishing near the mouth last Sunday?

Every river/creek between Turnagain pass and Bird holds fish...the one past Portage is a good silver fishery...just walk upstream to the clearwater creeks. Side note...bring bear protection.

Ak2Az obviously has never fished there. There are no fish in Portage creek. Move along... nothing to see here.
