    Default Shotgun/slug question

I have an 11-87 with the light contour barrel, 12ga. In a pinch, is it OK to shoot slugs with the improved cylinder choke?

Improved Cylinder is good for slugs.
Due to todays ambulance chasing lawyer culture, the ammo companies figure that there is always a chance that some shooter will shoot a slug through a modified or even full choked barrel. So the slugs are designed around that possibility.

Cylinder bore and improved clyinder bore chokes are the least restrictive and work great for slugs.

The old standard Brenneke slugs are really great for accuracy and terminal performance, while using a smooth bore improved-cylinder choked barrel .
