Default Yamaha Grizzly won't hold in park

My 07 Griz 450 won't hold on a hill in park. The machine rolls forward and it sounds and feels like a chain or belt is jumping over a sproket. Anyone have this problem, is there a tension adjustment on the tranny belt? If so, where is it?

Default Don't think its a belt issue

sounds more internal to the tranny. Or maybe a shifter lever adjustment....
The belt is between the engine and tranny, Park function would be in the trtanny/final drive.

There is a faster way off the mountain, might hurt a little though.

    Default Thanks

    Thanks Mike,

I did notice that the park light doesn't always light and when it does the slippage doesn't seem to occur, but I haven't been on a hill in a couple of days. Hopefully it is the shifter linkage or an electrical connection, but I'm not sure.

    Thanks Again

Yep, it was a linkage adjustment.
