If you've hunted the white mountains twice then you know twice as much about the area as 95% of the people on this forum.

    Default White Mountains sheep

...prob more like 99+%.....so far! I have seen sheep there on occasion, usu. thru gaps in the clouds while on the way to the Brooks, they were usually in the rocks around the few "peaks" that are there....Daaaa! Good luck, sorry I can't help more.

    Hic4life,

You will have a good walk from the Steese. Have you looked at past years harvest on the area? Mt. Prindle and anywhere north of there. Hope this helps.
