    Talking exhaust can

I have a 2003 pro x 800 136 2" paddle, it has SLP pipe and can with boisen reeds. I ride with my best friends that ride with loud cans. this slp set up sounds just like a moe ped, can I change the can to a louder one with out having to mess with the jetting. I ride mostly in the valley up on baldy mountain and in hatchers pass, petersville and am planing on going up to cantwell alot this year
    thanks for all the help

If you are running a tuned SLP can why would you want to change?

Loud doesn't equal more horsepower, necessarily.

Noisey snow-gos threaten the future of snowmachining. I don't appreciate any feature on a recreational sled that makes them louder. If you want loud? Man up and get an 800 mod snowcross sled and hit the track. If you're riding on public land for grins, do so as quietly as possible. That's the best way to prevent getting all of us locked out of places we like to ride.

    Noise sucks.

Default I don't get it either...

You hit the nail on the head Mr. Pid.

Don't get a louder pipe just to keep up with the Jones'.

You've already shed weight (quite a bit) and gained HP with the SLP products. If polaris features SLP products in their annual catalog, I would stick with them. I've read lots of forums where people have troubles with other brands. For some reason, SLP and polaris work well together. You might just run into other problems running an SLP pipe with, say, an MBRP or D&D...

    Save some cash, run her...

I run a modded M1000, it has over 225 HP and I put my stock can back on.
I guess it may sound like a moped, but it runs better than with the speedwerx can

My stock can rusted out (after 9 yrs), so I put on a dynoport can. It's a little louder, but it runs better and I did not have to alter my jetting or air screw at all.
