    Question Salchaket Slough questions...

South of the Chena flood control on the Tanana is the Salchaket Slough...it is on the southwest bank of the tanana. I am just wondering if this is navigable with a 18' 65 hp jet? I am looking into options as far as getting over into 20A for some meat for the family. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...

    Happy boating...

I haven't been on it from that end, but it is navigable for the other end. I'd Imagine its a pretty popular place right now.

If you want to run the Salchaket slough go in from the town end. Its really hard to find from the south end and diffecult to run it down stream lots of channels and braides for the first 1/2 mile or so. Good luck
