Default Wounded Soldier looking to do some fishing

I have been in Alaska a number of years and do get out a bunch fishing but would love to learn some of the better techniques.

If you've still got your military ID card, the Seward Resort is nice.

I stayed there for the first time this summer (but didn't fish with their charters I fish with some charters I'ver used for years), but from the looks of things at the first houses, those that do use the Resort's Charters caught fish.

    The accmodations were nice.

I think it's has to be one of the few spots in the world, where the Army has a better facility than any other branch does.

Even if you choose not to stay there or use their charters, I'd use the fish houses for packing your catch up. If you stay there, they have freezer space you can use for free.

    Default Your story.

Welcome to the forum. Please tell us about yourself. Your story. What days of the week are you available to fish. I fish only during the week due to working weekends. I am planning a trip to Seward or Valdez, maybe the Sound in the next week or so.

    Default Russian River?

    Sean,
If you're interested, there's a group of us going to the Russian and back this Friday. We were going to meet up at the Fort Rich shopette around 5:30 a.m. and head out. I've got room in my car.
