    Question tazlina area landing strips..?

wondering if anyone would care to share info on spots to land in the tazlina glacier area?
i drew an any-ram tag in there, and my buddy is willing to fly us in in either his arctic fox or his champ...

    Default Google Earth

On a whim I checked Google Earth for Tazlina Glacier. It looks like there are two large areas on the lake that will handle wheeled aircraft, one on the west side where a river empties into the lake and one at the end of the lake near the glacier. It is only 35 miles+/- from Gulkana so you should be able to haul in a good base camp and maybe an inflateable boat.

If you are worried about fuel... Eureka Lodge... Auto Fuel... nice strip across the road... good hamburgers.

There are several strips that are easy to spot. Lots of gravel to just pick a spot also. Weathers good and its close to the Anchorage/Matsu so poking around ahead of time is a good fairly easy.
