    heading out on a halibut charter Saturday anybody know what forcast they go by to deturmine if they head out to fish the gulf and at what point do they call the trip off

    I'm sure this varies with each charter service. I know there are guys who will pound their hulls all the way out to seal rocks or Middleton island even in the roughest water.

    We went to Valdez for the weekend and got sunburned.

    Use zone 120- Cape Suckling to Gore Pt.

    Anything over 15 knots is lumpy, 20 is very marginal, more is normally not fishable. With this string of lows, there will probably at least be a good swell running for a while.

    while we're on the subject, would someone in the Valdez area do me a favor?

    I am coming up in 2 weeks, hoping to fish for silvers and whatever else is willing to bite. would someone that is in the area round up all the fish and chase them into one area so i can be sure to catch em?

    Was down dipping kenai this weekend and got sunburnd saturday too
