Te sky was nice and blue then, mostly at Chitina (the seagull photos). But on the way there the previous day, it was pouring. On my way back, Saturday, it was incredibly beautiful, specially Summit Lake. It was windy at the lake, with lots of white caps on the water. The lake showed an emerald-green color that was amazing, so I took a few photos. But guess what? I blew it, since I decided to get the camera close to the water. The photos show lots of water, alright, but not enough land in the background All I had to do was to think a little, climb on top of my truck, and take a few good photos. But not all was lost, since I managed to take some good photos such as the ones shown above.

Just a small pond not too far from the Gulkana River, on the Richardson.

I decided to add some to the series, these taken Saturday on the Richardson. You will notice some snow on top of the mountains (in the photo posted above, as well as here). That snow is not usually there in July. It's termination dust
    By Gunnysack Creek

Summit Lake on a cloudy and rainy day here, but new snow as you can see over the mountains in the background.

Swamp donkey, earlier in the day when sunny, 50% crop.
