A few shots with the macro from our trip last weekend out to Portage Glacier.

Thanks for sharing Eddie. You are going to cost me some money. I have been on B&H scoping out the Canon 100mm macro lens. Nice shots man!

Nice pics. What camera are you using?

I just got a digital camera too, but I have yet to use it well. Read the manual front to back, took a few auto pics, and that's it.

How can I take pics like yours? My camera is a Canon SD1100. Recommend any books? Websites? Maybe even an online course?

Advice? I am not sure about the type of camera you have ...you may want to check it out and see if it has a macro setting and work with it ...a lot. I use a tripod and a wired remote shutter release. I like to shoot on overcast days so the light is not so harsh on the flowers colors. This seems to really help. I shoot a lot of frames and delete the bad ones. Try searching on-line for tutorials, there are quite a few that are really helpful. Have fun with it and show us what you come up with. Thanks for looking.
