Default Whitter Report/ First trip for T.A.S.F

Today, I took 4 Air Forces members (Take a Soldier Fishing). The water was flat, so I decided to headed to Montague. When we hit Montague it was foggy and cloudy. Never saw the sun the whole day out there. It took about 2 hours to locate the Lings, but once I found them they were on them.. One of the guy reeled up a ling and there was a much larger ling swimming with it. Then all of a sudden the bigger Ling attack the one that was hooked. The bigger Ling swam off into the deep. I dropped a jig down in the area I thought the big Ling disappeared to. Not 20 seconds passed when he was stripping line from my reel. Very nice ling, but not the biggest one of the day. In the end they were all happy.

We used Herring a little bit but for the most part I had them Jigging all day.

    They all caught.
    Halibut
    Lings
    Silvers
    Yellow eye
    Black Bass

We had company all day there.
    Dolphin
    Whales
    Killer Whales
    Sea lion

Funny how once the killer Whales showed up all the silvers stopped jumping.

You definetly have karma on your side now About that bigger ling attacking the smaller one, we had one do that this last week in homer, except we were reeling up a 30# halibut! Amazing how aggressive those buggers are!
