Default Anybody getting butts out of PWS?

I just can't seem to hook up on butts out of PWS. We put in a long day yesterday, fished off of Lone Island, Naked, and then motored over towards the N end of Knight, on both the E and W side. We were using bait, and jigs, drifting, anchored with a chum bag, and not a single halibut.

We did manage a few fish, 7 yellow eye and 2 ling cod.

I'm planning a long weekend trip to Green Island in a few weeks, hopefully I can pick a few up over there.

Not looking for coordinates, just general locations and types of structure.

I think I saw you last night. you were at the mouth of a bay by Knight island. We motored near you guys and a few minutes later you left. If so after you left we got into some yellow eyes

We limited out on butts yesterday. Nothing big 20-40#

Sounds like it. We tried the rock pile between Knight and Disk with no results, then headed over off the N end of Knight we finally got into some fish.

Were you guys dropping some shrimp pots?

20's to 40's would work for me Were you fishing the South end of Knight?

I figured we were just a wee bit shy of getting onto fish. With the water that nice yesterday I should have just set a course straight for montague.

    I'll send you a pm.

Took a charter out of Seward last week. Fished south and east sides of Montague. 14 people on board, all limited out. No big fish but all 20+ lbs., and some ling cod and rockfish too. It's a long run out there, but they're biting! 100-200 ft of water.
