    Default Gulkana river report

Getting ready to set in this weekend. I heard the water was high due to rains... I was thinking about floating in 2 recrecational kayaks and a canoe.

Any reports on the water levels up there?

    Default life jackets

I can't tell you by the river level if its doable or not.... What one guy is comfortable with .. anouther guy is not....
you will have company on the river,, mostly rafters,, very very few in open canoes, and yes some Kayaks..
You may get wet, if you don't portage the fast water places,,, and thats no big deal...
but being in these craft without a life jacket ....... Well... you already know..
