Exclamation What happened to the Salmonator?

Heard that she got stuck on the rocks or hit a rock but then couldn't hear much more of the Coast Guard conversation...

    What happened after that?

I thought the Salmonator was the vessel that was doing the towing?
Sounds like all hands were fine.

Default Salmonator was the Good Samaritan

A 24' aluminum pleasure boat ran hard aground SW of Knight Island and Salmonator responded, took the boat under tow and was relieved by CG Cutter LONG ISLAND, who moored the boat safely in Whittier. We've had quite a few recreational & commercial boats go aground/hit rocks this year. Again, prudent navigation and attention to tides goes a long way in Alaskan waters! Be safe out there and thanks to Salmonator for responding! Mike

I was 22 miles away when I heard the call. Glad everyone was ok.

Default That's why I was askin'

I was tight up on the shore in Cochrane Bay and only caught pieces of the conversation...and mostly the Coastie side of the transmissions. Thanks for the update. Just kept thinking of that saying, "There, but for the grace of God, go I"...or something like that...

Oh ***** moments really can suck...and I know that for a FACT.
