I wonder why tree stands haven't really taken hold in Alaska?

Depeds where you are at I know one area where the moose have been patterned pretty well and there are several stands and calling sites strategically placed. There are guys that pull moose from them just about every year!

    Thumbs up the trees

I have seen more and larger animals from hanging out in the trees and with my stands being portable I can move it around if better locations are found, to me thats easier than building at new sites. Plus most honest folks know it isn't there's and stay out.

I have a tree stand my brother gave me, which is portable and it is the kind that you can climb up and down the tree on. Has a nice seat.

I did find out what the little rope that holds the seat part and the bottom part is for.................

Had to ask the wife to get me a ladder to get out of the tree. Foot part kind of fell to the ground leaving me just sitting 20ft up. She thought it was funny and invited the whole family to the rescue scene.

    ironartist: Nice stand!

Rutting Moose: Could be the winter baby fat........
