    Default Solvent eating recoil pad

I have a can of old military bore solvent that ate through its own can.

The stuff got all over the shop floor and some got onto the recoil pad of my Remington Titanium mountain rifle. It is eating the pad....

I cleaned it off with water and then alcohol.... but get this.. days later it is still making the pad disolve....yuck

Give up on trying to save it, and get a new pad installed on it. It's gone, the ammonia has been doing the dissolving of the pad material.
