    Default Crow Pass Death?

Hi, I hiked the Crow Pass trail last week. We had to do a few ice crossings shortly after the cabin. My friend who lives in Anchorage told me someone had recently died on the trail by sliding off or something. He swore up and down that he was telling the truth. Anyone hear anything else about this?

I would be highly surprised if this happened and didn't make the local media. I haven't heard a bit about such an accident.

I believe someone died on the trail last year, but I haven't heard of any fatalities this year.

Default I think it was crossing the river

I think someone from out of state drowned while crossing Eagle River at the crossing while wearing a heavy pack last year. He might have been crossing in a spot that was not the "designated" crossing though. tragic. It was in the paper.

    Default This wasn't it...

The one he was referring to. I think he was confused or something. Maybe just trying to scare me. Thanks!
