    Default Ptarmigan Chicks

Made a trip to Denali last weekend and had some fun photographing ptarmigan chicks. They were not shy at all with some approaching within just inches from where my brother in-law Stacy and I were seated in the brush.

Hey Ray, I must have shot 1,000-frames. It was pretty crazy.

I don't like the taste of ptarmigan, nor spruce grouse. However, ruffed grouse is a whole different story. Love these

Hey Ray, I have eaten a lot of grouse, blues and ruffed but have never tried the others. I have done a lot of bird huntin' in Oregon up until I moved to Alaska a couple of years ago. I sure do miss it though. I will be heading back to the happy huntin' grounds this Fall to hunt Blacktail deer and will no doubt take a few birds while I am at it. Cant wait!

Yes, can you tell??? I am kind of new to this Photoshop CS3 stuff. Sometimes the images look great on my monitor and not so great on others. Do they look OK???

    Nice shot Eddie. Pretty work.
