    Default 500 S&W with 400 grain bullets

This is my handi rifle with a 400 sierra at 1900 FPS.

    It is a thumper.

The 440 cast at 1900 is worse!!! But I quit loading those so fast. HaHa.

    Default Mine...

Belts about like that, but so far, still playing with the 325 and 500 gr. Hornady's, and loaded about three grains under max. Mine done up on what was originally an 1871 Buffalo Classic with the steel buttplate. A TON of fun! A lot "Handier" than the 31 inch tube of the .45-70 barrel! Recoil is what I would describe as 'Brisk'.....my mould selection is still in the process of elimination. IF I can manage to get into the critters this fall, I would like to be able to put the crosshairs of the 1.5 Weaver I've mounted on it onto the vital area of one of the mule deer eating the in-laws alfalfa crop.
