    Default Use Salt

If you look on the dipnetting forum, salt is recommended for getting the fish slime off. I personally have never used this method, but i'm going dipnetting soon and i plan to try it and see how it works.

We use vinegar to remove slime from whole fish or fillets with the skin on. You can apply it directly on the skin or mix it with water in a tub and dunk the fish in the mixture. Rinse with fresh water when you are done and the fish will be slime free.

I second using vinegar for slime removal. I use around 2 cups in a large wash tub for pike. After dunking numerous times, spray slime off with the hose.

    Scale them.

Before you gut them (it's easier and you get all the scales)
