    Default Gill netting

    Does anybody know about gill netting on the tanana ? We're considering doing a little this year and trying to find out were to get nets and all the equipment from?

    LFS, Inc. does custom-hanging for gillnets, they could probably make you one. Just be sure about the length, depth, and mesh size restrictions in place for your particular fishery, they ain't liable if your net is illegal.

    Murray-pacific in KTN or SIT also carries mesh, corks, cork- and lead-line as well as hanging twine, shuttles, all the crap you need to hang your own.

    A few other suppliers from the distant past that may or may not be open still...
    Silvertip net and gear, k-beach road.
    Kachemak gear shed, Homer,
    Pacific net & twine also had a little place near the airport in ANC...I think.

    Default gillnets

    Donalson Company, in Anchorage. 5631 Silverado way 561-2894, has any complete gillnet or materials you would want.

    I have no idea about the rules on the Tanana
