    Default Fur, In or Out

Advice given for fur, "in or out", was given correctly as the standard in the fur trade. The exception I've seen is at the Fur Rondy fur sales, where "Fur out" seems to sell better to the buyers in attendance. Witnessed "fur-out" muskrats, mink and otters sell for more than their "fur-in" counterparts. I guess people inexperienced in judging hides by looking at the leather side prefer to see the fur. So for what it's worth, if you intend to sell your furs at either the Fur Rondy auction in Anchorage or the Fairbanks sale during the Trappers Spring Fling, you may want to consider turning some of your stuff "fur-out". Best of luck to you either way!
