    Default Chitina fish count data

This link takes you a little different fsonar fish count data page. I prefer it and not sure where I got it. The link from Fish and Games page takes you to a different page and which, at least today, is 1 and a half days of data behind.
I've got it bookmarked and find it a wee bit better than the other.

Does the drop in water level generally equate to a faster push of fish (those that are there, anyway)? We're doing our first ever Chitina trip with Captain Kim on the 6th...I'm hoping the last few days of decent numbers will be pushing through when we're there.

    Default Lots coming...

Wow, look at the 6am numbers for the 4th! 7,000! The overall number for yesterday was 21,000 and with so many at 6am should be interesting to see how many the sonar counted yesterday. Fairbanks has had a couple very warm days and if the same was so for the Copper River drainage, and the glaciers, the river should come up a good amount.

It looks like the numbers are heating up. Probably going to be a supplemental in the near future if this keeps up!!!

It appears after listening to the adf&g chitina report recording, that fishing will close for 2 minutes on July 13th, 11:59 PM and reopen at 12:01 AM and an additional 10 supplemental salmon can be taken after the reopening. I may finally head down there sometime in the future.

    Default River level web-page....at Chitina

Here's a link to the River level at Chitina:
    http://aprfc.arh.noaa.gov/ahps2/hydr...ew=1,1,1,1,1,1
It doesn't seem to checked and updated on weekends but gives the most accurate river level data.(the one listed with sonar fish counts is taken at Miles Lake which is a ways downstream)
