Basic Revolver Work in Anch.?
I'd been having some problems with my SuperRedhawk base pin popping lose and locking the cylinder up. Called Ruger, they sent me a number of new spring, new base pin, etc.
I was wondering if there is a place in town that can replace the springs/base pin for me quickly/for a decent price? I know I could do it myself but at this point I don't really want to play with all them tiny springs. Would GNG/Boonedocks or a place like that do it, or would I need to find a smith?
Probably Wild West Guns. They do some custom work on Rugers.
Try Vince Baldauf,(sp?), Precision Arms; Boondock's ought to have some of his cards laying around. He operates out of his house so call first.
Super blackhawk or redhawk?
If it's the blackhawk that is jumping the pin, just order a belt mountain locking base pin, and you'll have no more problems. Unless you have a very tight frame or cylinder, it'll slide right in with no work needed to fit it. Tighgten up the set screw and pin jump will be a thing of the past.
