Thank You Kenai Pro Guide Association
Guides from Kenai River Professional Guides Association took time from their schedules and provided 40 boats for Fort Richardson Soldiers to fish for king salmon on the Kenai Sunday. Nearly half of the 103 Soldiers invited were wounded warriors from Fort Richardson’s Warrior Transition Unit.
Most of the remaining Soldiers are from the units which recently returned from Iraq or Afghanistan in support of operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. The all-expenses-paid fishing trip was offered to the Soldiers as way for the Kenai River Professional Guides Association, Eagle Claw and many others from the Kenai Peninsula to say, “Thank you for your service to our country.”
You all did a great thing for our vets. Thanks to all of the guides that participated and donated there time and efforts for our heros.
As a noob here, reading through the past posts, I've resisted the temptation to bump up old threads.
That stops today for this thread.
Belated thanks again. I really appreciate what the Kenei River Professional Guides Association did.
