    Default bear down

Well I finally connected last nite, I walked into the bait about 8pm and spooked a bear off all I saw was him butt busting into the bushes, I figured the nite would be a bust but decided to climb into the stand for a few since I was already out there. I started a jello burn and not 5 minuites into it I heard the WOOF!!! and in came the bear. He stopped under my stand and I took him with a shot to the neck. He was an old guy his mollars were all gone his front teeth were ground down to the gums and his top canines were black and rotten. Taxidermist judged him to be 18-20 yrs.

it is a winchester semi auto 308 I inherited from my grandfather who passed away a few years ago. It was his elk rifle, I decided I was ganna take something with it this year. Did the job nicely.

Congrats! Sounds like you did that boy a favor as a bear with dentures was going to be a hard living....

I noticed the rifle changed in the picture with Heather. Why was that. What year of what collage in Hawaii. Neat to see a young lady interested in outdoors.
