Red face Hooked one but lost it.

Down at the Little Su I had one on for a couple minutes but lost it.

I was trying to think about what I did wrong to lose it but I know there are a hundred ways to lose them.

I have had some years where I will lose the first five Kings I hook before I ever land one. These early fish fight like mad.

I hooked it on a wiggle wart (Brad's lure) with a 5/0 Siwash hook on my rod with the 65# spiderwire. The fish went under a log so I think the line was pulling too hard on the fish.

When I went down at 2PM the board showed 13 Kings today and 19 Yesterday. When I left at 11PM the board showed 17 for today.

Gave a couple guys a ride to Big Lake who had some boat trouble. I remember getting help a couple times in the past when I least expected it.

    Default Us too.

I took a couple of Quebeccers out Friday and again Sunday. One hooked up to a big'un on Friday. He ran around the motor, we did too. He ran under the anchor line, so did we. Then he ran 50 yds upstream and under some debris, then out to the middle and rolled. The leader broke, and there we were looking stupid...
Sunday fishing just below there, another boat hooked up in our "Friday hole." The fish ran around some debris and to the middle and rolled. He lost it. Spooky...
Saw 2 others roll. Pretty slow, a ton of boats, and the water was torn up all day long. Clearing debris off our hooks every 5 minutes.

I did not get even a nibble this morning. But the kids had a ball going nuts on a beach again.

If you have to get a new one, get the OLYMPUS Stylus 790SW. It's water and shock proof. Don't know how many times we would have been stuck buying a new camera b/c I dropped it or it got wet. If your a fisherman, it's almost a must have.

I agree with the Olympus 100%.
I need to upgrade as I'm still using my 5 year old Stylus 300.
It has been dropped in the river, been around my neck while I lost my footing and bounced through a class 1 chute, been around my neck when I got caught in a reverse hydrolic in my toon and flipped sending me crashing into the bottom 8 feet down and finally dropped several times and like the Energizer Bunny just keeps going and going and going.

    Hook came out.

The fish went under a tree and right after the line came off the tree the fish finally got off. I had the drag set pretty hard when I was trying to get off the tree.

It would have broke of as soon as it hit the tree if it was mono.
