We're using the HSR1025C G. Loomis rods with great satisfaction. The 1263 seems a little light for salmon.

i have caught 20 pounds kings here in MI on it. no problems yet. great for throwing spin glows in the river, plus, it casts plugs very well off of our piers. whats your overall opinion on the 1025? anything it is really limited on?

They are great King Rods and they do everything i need them to do. Casting, backtrolling, ect. the only thing slightly negitive i can say it is a little heavy for silvers but then i didnt really buy it to for silvers.

a friend of mine once told me there is GLoomis, Lamiglass and then whatever other fishing rod you can use. i thought he was full of it untill i tried a GLoomis rod then i was a believer too.
