    Im going to be in Homer awhile with our boat, does anyone know any decent places to troll for kings?

    Default Trolling for Kings-Homer

    Do a search on the topic. There was a good info thread at this site about a month ago. Advice at that time was set downrigger near the bottom in 70 ft of water, another caught one at 100+ ft. Look for contours on the bottom, follow the edges. People with more experience and up to date info will chime in. Tight lines

    up further you can get them off of Deep Creek.

    Here's an episode of the "ADN Fishing Dude" with some ideas on where to go fairly close to Homer. We didn't get fish on this trip, but there's info in the video for you.

    Kings pretty good right around the marker,Talked to my dad in Homer today him and his partner picked up 2 fattys within 1 hr.

    Rumor has it at the head of Day Harbor where the clear and silt water lines meet.

    That is a expensive boat ride for "rumor has it," but the tip is appreciated. Three weeks ago I caught one near Callisto, but have been skunked ever since. I think I need a kicker because I can't troll as slow as I could in my old boat.
