Thread: Ship Creek Parking

    Default Ship Creek Parking

Does anyone know if you can get a pass to park at the Creek? I live downtown, and I enjoy being able to get a line wet before/after work often, but its like being at the gas station every time I go over there, I feel like I am being robbed! Can I get a monthly pass or does anyone know about a super secret parking spot or something?

Call the parking service I think it's Diamond still. They do all the down town parking. You can get a pass for them. I don't know how much it is for.

The "pay to park" issue is a serious drawback to fishing Ship Creek. I hate shelling out $5 every time I want to wet a line for a few hours before or after work. The dollars really start to add up when the run is good and I'm there on a daily basis. It's a great location, but the cost makes me think twice before heading downtown.

The parking pass is a great idea. Please let us know what the price is. I'd be particularly interested in one that lasts anywhere from one week to three months.

I just picked up my pass for the summer. They're up to $95. Diamond Parking's office is located in the Capt. Cook Hotel parking garage office on K Street.

FYI, the Comfort Inn is going to start giving their guests permits to park and start towing people from their lot this year.

    Default transferable?

Are the permits transferable between vehicles or do you have to buy 1 for each car/truck you drive? If they are, Cliffhanger hurry up and get your last 4 before the 6th and then let me borrow your permit!

Yes if anyone knows, I would like to know if the permits are transferable between vehicles? Because sometimes we don't go down there with the same truck...

    Thumbs up

Just got off the phone, it is transferrable and you hang it in your window. I would make sure the truck is locked. Price is $95 and it is good till October. They refer to as the Ship Creek pass.

    I will get mine today

    Default more info?

I was wondering if those permits were valid for any of the diamond parking areas around town or what. And for how long are they valid. Is it an entire summer thing...or the whole year? Just wondering if anyone knows exactly what you get for your $95!

Just a heads up, Comfort Inn was forced to tow 15 cars yesterday from their lots. Not a place to park unless you are a paying guest.

I think I've always parked on the street out in front of the Comfort Inn. Are there 'No Parking' signs up there now?

    Default Parking pass

The parking pass is good for those lots around Ship Creek, not Downtown. Those lots are:

On the road to the small boat launch,
Under the C Street overpass, behind the old Bridge Restaurant and across the street from the restaurant,
The Diamond lot ACROSS from the Comfort Inn.

That's it. I believe the street parking by the Comfort Inn is free as it is on city property.
