Question Black Bears ANYWHERE on the Kenai...+ wounded rabbit call???

Trying to figure what lake or area would be best right now...

I'm working on the Bruce Platform in Cook Inlet right now but go in on the first week of June. We are wanting to try Cooper Lake(heard it might still be froze over so thats out) or maybe Skilak or Swanson River or Tustimina....Anyone have any ideas.
I've got the 16ft Klamath w/a 50horse suzuki(4 Stroke)and we both have wheelers as well.....
this would be myself and my buddies first bear.

Might try upper Skilak by the campsites....

If I had a bigger boat I would go to K-Bay or Seldovia... If it was really good weather that would last....maybe...
after Whittier, were a little leary of rough ocean waters....

I live on KGB road out of Wasilla, and was wondering about bears there as well....
    Any input would be great...

    Default Skilak

Skilak might not be a bad choice. Was there one evening a few years ago and saw four bears in a few hours.

If you go to Skilak, make sure you are not in the no-hunting area.
Be careful with the predator call. Brownies tend to come in all fired up & wanting to jump on whatever moves.
    Vance in AK.
