    NOTHING YET!!

The boss is making do all this random stuff like grocery shopping, and organizing our work schedule!

She's crazy!! Why grocery shop when I can fish!?!?

One of the posts mentions eashy dollys and charr from shore. Im going there and I dont care how small they are. I need my fix until tomorrow morning when I hit Ships Creek.

I cant believe I haven't even fished yet...

As I write this, the girlfriend is making a list of spices we need to buy...

I'll bet soda lands his first king before Ship closes at 11 pm tonight.... especially if he takes his lady friend.l

    Then finally to this pic!

We fished for about 2 hours straight without a hit on anything we threw.

We tried small spinners, small spoons, bobber and shrimp...nothing.

But for 2 hours while Rose and I tried to with our lures, there were these two guys to the left of us who kept catching.

So when they left, we took their spot! Not only that, they were dirty, and they left their bait!! YEAH!!

    SALMON EGGS!!!

I put one of those bad boys on and caught my first fish in AK!! Man was I excited. After 2 or 3 fish though, they stopped biting so I put on the shrimp again, and they started biting all over again.
They learn, but they dont learn quick.

Anyways, Rose ended up catching the biggest fish. (the one in the pic). For us, that was a pretty big trout. We used to fish trout on long island and that would be considered a decent size.

But as we were leaving some guy says: Did you guys do well?
Rose: Yeah, we did ok. (then she shows him her prized fish)
The guy: Oh, tiny little fellow...

We left laughing. I guess thats a tiny trout in Alaska! Man does that make me happy.

We just ate some because we kept a few.

    See? No need for groceries!

    Default Not too bad...

I think the first fish I caught in Alaska were little stocked grayling about half that size, at Hidden Lake on Eielson AFB about 15 years ago.

That one ain't too bad for a stocked rainbow.
