    Default Clamming in June

My parents are coming up the week of June 8. In addition to a couple of king charters and reds on the Russian, my mom would like to go clamming.

Being only a clamming novice, I know that a minus low tide is good...but the only day we can go, the lowest tide is around +3 feet . Also, she doesn't want to do razors...so it would only be for butters or littlenecks. We'd also like to stay relatively close to Soldotna, as well. Hmm..can I add any other conditions onto it?

    Is it even worth trying?

    Thanks, any help/advice is appreciated!

I don't know of any butters or little necks near Soldotna, unless you count Homer as near.
