Default if worse comes to worse

not sure what you are fishing for but if its butts you can buy some herring oil and inject some rockfish guts or use some sponge to inject oil into. also if you do buy herring oil go to AK MILL AND FEED. you can get it ALOT cheaper than at the bait shop. biggest halibut ive caught in prince william sound was a wad of halibut guts dripping with herring oil and soaked just off the bottom. guts stay on better too.

Wall Mart in Eagle River had some pretty rough looking bait as well as I was thinking of grabbing a few dozen, but not with what they had.

You should see what it costs in the North West Territories!!!!

The packs of herring that have a dozen (packaged as green, blue, purple etc.)
We get the blue sized packages for about $10.50 per package.
Figure out the price per pound on those things!!!!!!!

Herring is a bit like gasoline.

Every store in Juneau claims to be sold out of the bigs - yet, everytime you go fishing you'll see giant swarms of bigs.

I spent $50.00 at Western Auto today for jigging gear. Based on what I've seen at the stores, and in the waters I fish, I think I'm going to come out on top.
