Default Post your King RIVER here

    Post your River King here.

There is so much talk about Kings at Eklutna and the Little Su already.

    I call BS.

It doesnt matter what I think though so lets let the pics show.

This should calm some of the people who may not be sure exactly when the fish will arrive.

I believe there is a King swimming in the Little Su but I dont think it is worth even trying yet unless you have fuel that might go stale in the next week.

I am going myself on the 27th. I bet there will be a couple caught Memorial Day Weekend but I will wait for the weekend crowd to go home before I venture out.

The earliest I have ever seen a King in the Lil Su is May 10 and the earliest I have caught one there was on May 28th.

Last year I was in Homer but the year before we got a couple in the boat on May 29th or 30th and I got my first one on June 5th which was my next trip.

I think that if you asked the Jedi Master Salmon Slayer he would probably say something like "patience young Padawan, patience".

Come on, I dare ya, ask him.

I work with him and I know that had to go down to Texas for work. Poor Guy, but I don't doubt that he is on here checking out the posts.

Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.

Default First confirmed King at Ship Creek!

I don't have a picture but just got done watching a guy land a 15-20 pound king with sea lice at Ship. He was drifting eggs under a bobber on the outgoing tide. I tried down by the railroad bridge with no luck. The guy asked me the date as he was writing the king down on his license. No fish story, a couple other guys at the upper bridge saw it too.

It will not be easy waiting though.
