    Default Salmon festival?

    Hello,

Just trying to find some information about "salmon days" or "a salmon festival." I heard from a friend that he saw something about this being held in Chitina? Does anyone have any info on this or know where to find out about this. It sounds like a great event, but I need to know when it is being held and where.

    Thanks in advance,

    Default Kake Dog Salmon Festival

There's the Kake Dog Salmon Festival down here in Southeast.

The Kake Dog Festival: Held in late July, celebrates the Tlingit culture and return of the Dog Salmon (chum). Festivities include a canoe race called "the Challenge of the Chums", a chum run foot race and a dog salmon toss.

If they have 'em, try some "stink eggs!"

Thanks for the info. Yes, I have been to the Dog Salmon festival in Kake, and it was lots of fun for the entire family.
