    Default Weigh your boat?????

    Anyone ever weigh their boat!
Just for grins I weighed my 2004 17 foot Alaskan.

I weighed this boat on the trailer with the motor (Yamaha 115/80 4 stoke jet), canvas including slant back 4 seats and about 3 gallons of fuel and have a gross weight of 2169 pounds.
I deducted 415 pounds for the motor, 470 pounds for the EZ Loader Trailer and 20 pounds for fuel, 80 pounds for the canvas.
I come up with 1184 pounds for the boat?
The original brochure specifications claim 805 pounds for a windshield model.
    What gives?
Is the advertised weight w/o floor, seats or fuel tank? I doubt thise items add up to 379 #.
I used a certified scale at a local moving company.
Am I missing something? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Capt. Did you go from 3 blade to 4 blade or just change the pitch? Thats a nice improvement for a boat that weight.

    Default Props

I am running G-6 Volvo Dual Props. There are two props per outdrive. One is a three blade prop the other is a four Blade prop. Match that to 310 hp diesel and you have a lot of thrust.
