    Default Lakes on Peninsula

Was wondering if anybody knows what the ice is like in the Swanson River Canoe trails, Stormy Lake, or the Fuller Lakes up by Cooper Landing. Also want to add Kelly and Peterson Lake

Kelly - Peterson still have some ice. Watson is about 1/3 ice free. Lakes (ponds) between Sterling and Soldotna by the side of the road just started to break up today.

Drove by Jean Lake (Cooper Landing) area yesterday and it was still locked up.

Ice fished a couple of lakes out Swanson River Road on Sat., May 3rd, ice was around 12 inches in most places and is getting real soft. Ran into a couple of spots that were real thin, 6-8 inches and real soft. Would expect by this weekend it would be marginal to ice fish out that way. To bad as fishing was great.
