    Question Hayes River Lodge

Anyone heard of this outfit? They posted on Craigslist and seem to have some decent prices on Black/Brown Bear hunts. They say their 90 Miles NW of Anchorage.

They have a petty reasonable price there and was wondering if it was a well run outfit?

We had a wonderful experience with them. They offer a wide variety of activities and adventures including hunting and fishing both unguided as well as fully guided trips. We didnt hunt when we were there it wasnt hunting season, we went glacier hiking and did a raft trip from the glacier down to their place. It is an absolutely beautiful place at the edge of the Alaska Range. The owner is an experienced bush pilot and is there and on call with the plane the entire time you are there, I would highly recommend any activity there with them, we will be returning there this summer to do another trip, just need to decide what we want to do this time, hope this helps you out

Default Good experience with Hayes River Lodge

We got a nice grizzly there last fall and have a trip booked there for black bear in a couple of weeks, nice area, good bear concentrations both grizzly and black there in GMU 16B, and good folks, you are definately their priority and treated well during your visit there, we are considering planning a trip there for this fall as well, they do have a website: www.hayesriverlodge.com
