    Default Having reel troubles

I took my reel apart today to clean and grease it and now the back reel is acting up. It will only stop intermittenly now. I've taken this reel apart many times and this has never happened. I tore it apart and examined it and put it back together correctly but the back reel is still intermitten. It is a shimano stradic 1000FG roughly 2000-2002 model. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?

Forgot the name of the place. But they repair reels. They are located on Arctic and International. This is if you live in Anchorage.

    Default Reel repair

Either the anti-reverse is worn or not catching.

Tackle repair center is a good shop. I took three reels into them and got two fixed . He did not fix the third cause he said buying a new reel would be cheaper and I could upgrade the reel.

Problem was somehow I left with an extra rod too as he had some good rods there.

I had them repair a rod that had a damaged guide and a reel last year. Quick turnaround, good work and reasonable price.

I get awefully tempted to pick up some avet reels and seeker rods every time I'm in there.
