Downstream from Burma Landing to the mouth is usually passable in that type of boat, although the water can get a little thin for the first quarter mile or so. Upstream isn't a good idea for a prop most of the time. It gets very shallow in lots of places. I've tried it a few times at different times of the year in my 10-foot Zodiak with a 15-horse and finally gave up trying. Good luck.

I use to have your boat and a 25 hp motor with a prop for the little su. I still have the boat........and now a 20 hp jet pump. It won't be long before you do too.

I would agree! There are some pretty good skinny spots down river and up river with a prop, well you will need a new prop.

I did it in a 14ft John Boat w/ 15hp prop a number of times two years ago. My last trip i did pay the price and busted a prop. You may have better luck putting a skag (sp?) guard on to help prevent that. The water can get real shallow just down from the launch.

    Default You can go

downstram as far as you DARE. After your motor hits the 3rd or 4th under water log and kicks up and scares the #$!@ out of you, you will rethink the next trip.
